STUDIO APPOINTMENTS are for 1-6 people, located in my cozy studio at Wavelengths Salon: 2705 N Croatan Hwy, Kill Devil Hills

Private Parties are for 6 or more people, located at your location (no booking fee, but a $40 Travel Fee applies to Corolla & anywhere south of Rodanthe). I conveniently bring my mobile studio to your location.

Step 1: Pick a chain. You may also choose connectors/charms to personalize

Step 2: Your wrist, ankle, or neck is measured

Step 3: The customized chain is welded together

Each piece takes about 5-10 minutes or so- additional time needed when charms/ connectors are added. It does not hurt or burn, as permanent jewelry is not welded directly to your body. The metal chain is welded together using low level electrical current.

Easily remove your chain by cutting the round welded jumpring with nail clippers, scissors, or wire cutters. If you save your chain, I offer complimentary reattachment. *Please consider requesting a CLASP if you intend to remove your jewelry frequently (ie sports, MRI's, upcoming medical procedure, x-rays)

NICKEL FREE & HYPOALLERGENIC:

14K SOLID GOLD - heirloom metal, good for everyday wear, won’t tarnish or "turn", easiest to care for, stays gold forever

14K GOLD-FILLED - 5% gold layer bonded over a brass core, won't tarnish, however, the gold will slowly wear off from excessive saltwater, chlorine, lotion, perfume & harsh chemicals, lasts much longer than "gold plated" or "gold vermeil"

STERLING SILVER - .925 will naturally tarnish from oxygen exposure, saltwater, chlorine, lotion, perfume & harsh chemicals, but tarnish easily washes off with skin safe cleaner

Rinse jewelry with fresh water immediately after being in the pool or ocean to prevent tarnish or corrosion. Avoid harsh chemicals when possible (lotions, perfumes, cleaning agents):

1. Wash with Links by Laura Jewelry Cleaner or warm water & soap.
2. Gently dry with a soft cloth. 
3. Use a polish cloth to give it shine.

Chains that are made of thin dainty metal are not invincible & can break if pulled on.

14K Solid Gold & Sterling Silver can last forever if cared for properly! 14K Gold-Filled can last for about 3 years or so with everyday wear & tear, depending on the chain’s thickness and how well it's cared for. 

I ensure the integrity of my weld before your appointment is complete, however there is a 15-day warranty on jumpring welds (does not include broken chain).

Permanent does not mean invincible; this is fine jewelry and it can break. Links by Laura is not responsible for broken chains, lost jewelry, metal sensitivity or allergic reactions, tarnishing or stretching.
